OUR HISTORY began in the Fall of 2001 with Colleen Starnadori and her daughter, a dog groomer. Colleen is a successful businesswoman and had recently left her position as COO of a national marketing organization. Colleen had been baking special treats for her Golden Retriever �Lucy� for some time when she and her daughter decided to sell the treats to the grooming customers. The dogs loved the treats so much that they decided to start selling gourmet dog treats. Just Dogs! Barkery, Inc. has continued to thrive due to the popularity of our �World�s Tastiest Gourmet Dog Treats��.  Just Dogs! Barkery, Inc. began franchising in June 2003 and has recently opened its new 6,600 square foot facility in Washington, PA that includes Home Office, Training, Barkery, and Warehouse � Shipping/Receiving areas.

Our Vision is to open Just Dogs! Barkery� franchise locations throughout North America. We are opening stores primarily in Malls either as Custom Branded Kiosks or as Branded in-line stores. We do have franchisees that are collocated with industry professionals such as Groomers.

OUR PRODUCTS consist of high quality, hand-cut and all natural barrel treats, hand-decorated gourmet treats, and gourmet dog candies. Additionally we offer breed specific merchandise and unique accessories for that favorite dog! That's right, Just Dogs!

 

TEAM SUPPORT. We have pulled together an outstanding leadership team to take Just Dogs! Barkery, Inc. to a national household brand favorite. This team has experience in retail chain management, mall deployment, marketing, franchising, product development, graphic design, e-Commerce, and technology making Just Dogs! a competitive, multi-unit retail distribution force in the all-natural gourmet pet treat industry. FRANCHISE DETAILS. Just Dogs! Barkery� current offers franchises nationwide¹ and Canada.  Upon initial inquiry, you will be sent our full color brochure and Confidential Questionnaire.  Once you complete the questionnaire and we pre-qualify you, you will be sent our Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC) and asked to take at least 10 business days to review the materials with your advisors.  Once you have decided to proceed, we will begin the process of completing your Franchise Application, selection of your store location and type, payment of fees, and scheduling of training. This process can take 45 to 60 days depending on the location selected and timing with our contractors for kiosk construction and data systems².

The UFOC states the franchise fee is $22,500 and a royalty of 8% of monthly sales.  The capital requirements range from $94,000 to $159,500 which would include the first years rent and related expenses.  Our most recent mall kiosk stores have averaged needing about $75,000 for the start-up plus rent and overhead expenses.  It is the goal of Just Dogs! Barkery, Inc. to keep the cost of goods (barkery produced treats and aggregated merchandise buys) at as low a cost as possible to maximize the potential return to our franchisees meaning we operate the Barkery at near cost of operations. 

The Frequent Barker�s Club� and Barker�s Referral Network� (BRN) also provide excellent customer and earnings opportunities.  The BRN provides an opportunity for the franchisee to also wholesale our barrel treats to groomers, vets, trainers and other industry professionals near their store location while earning an above average profit.
